Year End Award Eligibility
All Owners and Exhibitors must be KBHA members - ($30 individual, $35 family)
All horses must be nominated - ($15 one time fee) Points will not be counted until membership and nomination fee are paid.
All horses must show each class a minimum of three shows - each day counts as one show - for points to count.
Owner or Exhibitor must work 8 hours, pay $50, or get $50 in club sponsorships by last show date (Sept. 5) to be eligible. (One edible item such as pies, cookies, cakes etc-to be auctioned off at our show weekend Pie Auctions qualifies as two work hours)
All sponsorships, hours, or auction items must be properly recorded in show office to be counted. No exceptions.
Year End Award Divisions
Individual Class Awards - Hi Point and Reserve - Must show at a minimum of 3 shows – each day counts as one show - for points to count.
ABRA Youth 13 & Under - Hi Point and Reserve - Total points, awarded per horse/exhibitor combination. All ABRA youth classes count towards this total.
ABRA Youth 14-18 - Hi Point and Reserve - Total points, awarded per horse/exhibitor combination. All ABRA youth classes count towards this total.
ABRA Amateur - Hi Point and Reserve - Total points, awarded per horse/exhibitor combination. All ABRA amateur classes count towards this total
ABRA Open - Hi Point and Reserve - Total points, awarded per horse. All ABRA open classes count towards this total.
All Breed 13 & Under - Hi Point and Reserve - Total points, awarded per horse/exhibitor- All 13 & under classes as well as any other all age, all-breed classes count towards this total, excluding Walk/Trot 10 & Under, 2 &3 Yr Old Snaffle Bit.
All Breed 14-18 - Hi Point and Reserve - Total points, awarded per horse/exhibitor – All 14-18 classes, as well as any other all age, all-breed classes count towards this total, excluding 2 & 3 Yr Old Snaffle Bit
All Breed 19-Over - Hi Point and Reserve - Total points, awarded per horse/exhibitor – All 19 & over classes, as well as any other all age, all-breed classes count towards this total, excluding 2 & 3 Yr Old Snaffle Bit.
All Breed 50 & over - Hi Point and Reserve - Total points, awarded per horse/exhibitor – All 50 & over classes count towards this total. All age classes DO NOT count towards this total.

Grand Champion at Halter: Will earn one point more than any other horse in that sex division, but will not add a point if horse wins the class with the highest points. Reserve Champion at Halter: Will earn as many points as any other horse in that sex division other than the Grand Champion.
General Show Rules
Exhibitor Numbers stay with the horse, not the exhibitor and will be used at all KBHA shows for the entire show season. If you would like to reserve a number please contact Marty Bloomquist (785) 554-3257 or mbloomquist@ksmail.net.
Coggins If you are hauling in from any state other than Kansas, you must have a current (w/in12 mos.) negative coggins test for each horse.
ABRA Exhibitors - Please bring a copy of your horse’s ABRA papers to the show the first time you enter. Make sure your horse is registered in your name or an immediate family member’s name if you wish to show in ABRA youth or amateur classes. Also have with you a copy of your CURRENT ABRA membership card. ABRA amateur memberships may not be renewed or purchased at the show. Owners and exhibitors of ABRA registered horses must be current ABRA members for the horse to be shown in ABRA classes and receive ABRA national points.
Forms- Master cards, entry forms, KBHA membership forms, year-end award nomination and sponsorship forms are available at the show or may be printed from our website www.ksbuckskin.com.
All-Breed classes - All breeds and all colors.
Youth - 18 and under as of January 1 of the current year.
* Cash or a signed blank check made payable to KBHA is required when entry forms are submitted at the show office. There will be a $50 fee on all returned checks.
* ABRA show and contest rules shall prevail for all KBHA approved classes.
